The Geneseo men's basketball team had yet another up-and-down weekend, winning Friday against SUNY Oswego on a last-minute shot by senior Brandon Simpson before falling in double overtime to SUNY Cortland the next day. In Friday's match against the Lakers, Geneseo led for the majority of the game.
The Geneseo men's ice hockey team defeated the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs 7-4 on Saturday, improving their record to 5-6-0 in SUNYAC play and 9-10-1 overall in the team's first game since hearing the news regarding their one-year postseason ban. Morrisville took an early first period lead when they scored with a two-man advantage after freshman defenseman Blake O'Connor was given a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct for hitting from behind.

The Geneseo women's basketball team turned in two more promising performances this weekend as they split a pair of conference matchups against SUNY Oswego and top-seeded SUNY Cortland. On Friday night, Geneseo knocked off the Lakers by a score of 49-41 but then fell in the Saturday matinee against the Red Dragons, 56-47.
This past weekend the Geneseo track and field teams traveled to Boston to compete in the Boston University Terrier Classic, as both the men's and women's squads turned in classic performances, including the nation's best time this year in the men's distance medley relay.
The Blue Wave had a strong finish to cap off their regular season schedule this past Saturday, as both the men's and women's teams defeated SUNY Oswego by more than 40 points. The women's team finished the regular season at 9-1 with a 152-112 win over the Lakers.
