Witty and endlessly entertaining, this year's musical, "The Pirates of Penzance," will plunder and pillage its way into audiences' hearts this week in Brodie Hall's Alice Austin Theatre. For those unfamiliar with this treat written by W.S. Gilbert and composed by Arthur Sullivan, the story goes as follows: young, dutiful Frederic, mistakenly apprenticed to the Pirates of Penzance as a boy by his devoted but dowdy nurse, Ruth, has finally served the terms of his indenture and is eager to put piracy behind him.
"The Tile Project," which was sponsored by Student Art Association and Geneseo Late Knight, is the newest installation of student art that originated from the College Union. The idea for the project was born during an SAA meeting, according to senior Alyssa D'Anna.
The Student Art Association's Annual Fall Juried Exhibit took over the Kinetic Gallery this weekend, showcasing some of Geneseo's best student artwork. Jeffery Swift, an artist and designer from Brooklyn who has worked for Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, judged the show.
