Colors in the Air delivers indie rock to small but satisfied group of students

A small but successful concert, courtesy of Geneseo Late Knight, took place last Friday night in the College Union Ballroom, as Buffalo area band Colors in the Air performed for an enthusiastic crowd of Geneseo students.

Student creations shine in Calligraphy Exhibit

The Bridge Gallery in Brodie Hall is currently displaying the 2009 Annual Calligraphy Exhibition which features the work of 29 Geneseo students who have excelled in the calligraphy course offered by the School of the Arts. Students choose one or more of their favorite quotations and use what they have learned from their instruction in the class to skillfully write out the words on paper.

Super Bowl commercials lukewarm in appeal

Most people watching Super Bowl XLIII had high expectations for a night of outstanding athletics, entertainment - especially with Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band performing - and hilarious commercials. Despite the economic crisis, a 30-second ad in this year's Super Bowl still sold for $3 million, up from last year's $2.
