On a chilly Wednesday afternoon, 18 unclothed Geneseo students arranged themselves into a peace sign on the College Green in a demonstration dubbed "Naked for Peace."

As the demand for graphic design increases in professional media, the graphics production minor at Geneseo is devolving. According to several students, inconsistent technology and an incompetent professor have put a hold on real-world preparation. Graphics production is exclusively a minor, and there is no graphic design major at Geneseo.
Next year will see significant changes in top Lamron staff, as the paper recently elected a number of new editors for the 2008-2009 academic year. Among the most notable changes, the current Lamron staff elected junior Dan Skahen to replace the editor-in-chief of two years, senior Jacob Kriss.
The rarely-used Student Court recently became the mediator in a controversy involving whether or not the Student Association should allot special monies to member organizations whose budgets are frozen. At its April 9 meeting, SA passed the second reading of a proposal which promised Pride Alliance $214.
After two heated debates at Student Association meetings, SA's Executive Committee passed a motion Wednesday to delay proposed changes in the Alliance for Community Enrichment's Constitution until May of 2009. Typically, organizations funded by SA must formally ask the SA Executive Committee for a budget increase if they need additional money to implement programming or attend conferences than was previously allocated in their budget.
Activities Commission will enjoy a significantly enlarged budget for its biannual concerts next year, following the SA Budget Committee's approval Wednesday night. The concert's budget, which is comprised of an allocation from mandatory student fees and income generated from ticket sales, has already passed the first round of approval.
Geneseo will see some substantial changes next year, as several key faculty members step down from administrative positions. Dean of the College Susan Bailey will retire at the end of the semester, and both the School of the Arts and the School of Business will have new deans.
