If there is one media resource on the College campus that goes underutilized by many, it is undoubtedly WGSU the Revolution, Geneseo's own student-run radio station. Many are simply unaware of the variety of great material that the station offers, which is very unfortunate.
In the past week we have all been completely inundated with information regarding the Virginia Tech occurrence. I am sure each student here has been affected in varying ways. Personally, I have been affected by the tragedy at many different levels. I am affected as an individual who was horrified and stunned upon learning of the tragedy.
I hate to admit it, but I'm genuinely tempted to start off this column with the obligatory, "Wow, this year sure has gone by fast," largely because openings have never been my strong point. But I have to be honest; this year hasn't gone by fast. Not by a long shot.
I am in a state of fear right now. I fear for the lives of my friends, enemies, family, pets and, more importantly (because I'm selfish), I fear for my own life.
